Hi, I'm planing put retrofit and HID in my corolla and as a newbie I have a few questions:

- what's the best method to open the headlights, the oven, the heat gun, a hair dryer ?
- buying a RX330 projector would be a better idea than buying
this projector in ebay?
- what's the difference between a 35W ballast and a 50W besides the consumption?
- are the slim ballast reliable?
- and about the angel eyes, in case I don't take the DIY option , I saw a lot of them really cheap on ebay, but I saw also some really bright angel eyes (7000K CCFL) for some brands ( mazda, bmw, etc.) and in some cases those are made of glass. I'm worried about buying some of those trendy angel eyes, if glass made I supose those are not so flexible for bending in case don't fit the place in my headlights

So, that's all for the moment :naughty: all opinions are welcome!

For my aftermarket unit, heat gun followed by hair dryer.

Do what I did. This is even better:

FX35 bixenon projectors bolted to hollowed out reflector bowl, solenoid wired, Ocular shrouds from TRFS, crammed into where the low beam was. High beam retained for DRL.

I even did a major wiring mod to get working DRL and up the low beam circuit to 14 gauge wires which in retrospect could be overkill. So no harness for me. :D

Don't bother with 50W ballasts. Remember that 35W ballasts, even the kits, put out much more light than your usual halogen bulbs. I run Hella gen3s so not much idea how those slim ballasts perform. Ballast is a ballast, quality is all that matters. Then again finding quality ones are tricky.

actually.. here in ontario.... anything aftermarket you do to a car is illegal.
:(
Then anything from aftermarket stereo to alarm to manual swap and HID to turbo would all be. Cash grab time, Fantino is going to be very happy. :slap::headbang:

Tony's Camry is gonna be in even more trouble than mine.
