My 2002 Toyota Corolla car failed state inspection because the check light is one the the codes are P0440. P0441 and P0446.

My went to Toyota delear and he told that Charcoal Canister failed and we need to replace. I asked him to change that. He charged $280 for parts and $225 for labor.

It looks like he charged around $150 extra for me. Anyone has any idea, generally how much it will cost.

So that next time I will avoid this delear.

Assuming that at 47000 miles your past warranty? If any of the parts are part of the emission system it should have a long warranty on it. My 2000 has a 6 year guarantee on the emissions system.
