Camry 2.4L automatic. I was out of town for a month. Before leaving I filled up the tank and put one bottle fuel stabilizer in tank. When I got back car has strange problem. Car goes to low idle after driving less than a minute and dies.

Please help. I checked everything and nothing look abnormal. The car was running fine one month ago before I left. It was sitting idle with battery disconnected for a month.

Kindly someone help me with good knowledge. I will appreciate any help.

Since you disconnected the battery for a month, the ECU needs to relearn how you throttle/idle. This happens to me even when I disconnect the battery for a few days.

Drive it like normal but keep it from dying. If it wants to die, throw it into neutral and keep the revs up. I'd say about 30 minutes to an 1 hour of driving around will reset the low idle.

put an obd2 reader on it and see if all the systems say ready or incomplete. if 1 or more is not ready yet, then it could run a bit off until they have all passed inspection routines by the ecm/ecu. should just take driving for some miles at different speeds or there are specific driving patterns to clear specific monitors.

Could also be due to a dirty MAF or throttle body but you've done that. Might even be a possible vacuum leak causing it too...again the ECU will eventually compensate it. Had a friends ES300 that idled low, surged. It would only idle without stalling after driving it around for quite a bit. Found to be a huge crack on the intake hose, missing a few vacuum lines to the air box, broken nipple on a vacuum switching valve and really dirty throttle body.

Spark plugs, valve cover, clean throttle body and fix all vacuum lines made the car idle 100% perfect after a full disconnect and reconnect of the battery.

You are right.I have three Incomplete now checked with Actron meter.Evap, catalyst and O2.
I Hope think this clears up in two or three days driving.

Thanks for your help !
