I have a 4 cylinder model 03 RAV4 and can’t find the block heater. I’m in Canada and temps this coming week are expected to go down below -30. Can’t find a cord either. Any hints as to where it should be? Or links to a website that will show me where to look? Thanks.

Your most likely gonna have to go with a dipstick heater or a oil pan heater. This thread maybe helpful.

Thanks for this. Never heard of a dipstick heater so I’ll look into that if I can’t find an OEM one installed. This RAV had an engine replacement (not by Toyota) and I’m wondering if the cord was lost in the process. Hence the question as to where it should be located.

From what I saw on the RAV4World.
Search results for query: block heater

The heaters were optional and the cords were zip tied to the grill but some owners found them coiled up on top of or in the fender well. Didn't say which side. They seem to like the KAT Heaters should you need to install one.
