Hi all,

I have a 2006 Sienna with the 3.3L engine. I am considering changing the transmission due a catastrophic failure of the transmission fluid cooler resulting in antifreeze in my transmission which will most likely ruin the clutches sooner than later.

Are all 2nd generation Sienna transmissions the same (2004 to 2010)? The engine changed to 3.5L in 2007 I believe, but I am unsure about the transmission.

They offered the 3.3 and the 3.5 in 2007, some 07 models used the U151F or U151E's..
From there forward it was an either or situation but looks like the U151F was used because of AWD.

Toyota U transmission

E for FWD, F for AWD. I've read accounts of people using RAV4 or Highlander U151(X) too as replacements.

was it professional flushed after the issue happened? how long was it run with contamination?

It is currently in the shop for a professional flush.

It ran for less than 60miles over 4 days.
