Hi everyone,

I am attempting to replace the drive belt in my 2005 Camry. I successfully did the replacement on another car (a 2000 Corolla) a couple of days ago in just about 15 minutes, so I figured I wouldn't have a problem doing it on my '05.

I made a drawing of the belt diagram before I started then got the old belt off with no problem, but putting the new belt on has turned into a nightmare so far. I've spent probably 2 1/2 hours and haven't made much headway. I'm not sure what the correct pulley sequence is to put the new one on and since the spaces are so tight around all the pulleys, it seems impossible to get enough room to install it. Is their some trick to installing the drive belt on a '05 Camry (4cyl)?

Thanks again, I had to get someone to help hold the tensioner while I got the belt on. The belt I bought (a goodyear gatorback) was extremely tight getting on, one of the tighest belts my friend ever saw (and he's an experienced mechanic of 20 years).
