Basically, I hesitate between the 2. The Echo (sedan) has seemingly great capacities in terms of reliability. I can't seem to find its payload weight although. The 2005 Corolla seem also like a great candidate being resilient to the Canadian winter and seemingly easy to maintain and reliable. Why 2005? Well, I want to get a car used that is as old as I am and drive it forever by maintaining it, heck even getting my hand dirty if needed. Of course, you can't go wrong with a Toyota (they are very resistant to the Canadian winter.) The 2005 Corolla and Echo sedan have comparable power levels, 130 hp and 108hp respectively. They both are rather cheap to buy right now and fuel efficient.
