Hi Buster. If you're looking for a decent spy-shot of the 2005 Tacoma, check out: http://www.geocities.com/disabati/05Tacoma/05Tacoma.bmp
I've owned the toyota trucks since 1989. I was a little disappointed with my 2001 although still a very dependable vehicle. I'm hoping for better things in 2005 since I'm in the market again. Although you can't beat Toyota's dependability, they've allowed the competition to get too close and in some cases pass them by. One area that disappoints me is the engine. Nissan's VQ engine series has had maintenance free timing chains for years and performance that has landed Nissan 10 straight years of awards from Wards Automotive. Now, if we could somehow cram the Nissan VQ engine into the Tacoma, get the interior from an Acura TL (including the Nav system), while we're at it, let's take Acura's tiptronic trans too (I like a stick, my wife doesn't - this is a great compromise if you haven't tried one out) then we'd have ourselves a nice vehicle. Yes Toyota, we like our 4wd trucks to have upscale features too.
