Check the tail fuse; they're all off of that one. If it's gone, though, you'll have also lost the license plate lights. Not sure if you checked that.Lost dash & PRNDL lights. Have all other lights. Can't figure out which fuse it is, if it is a fuse. Fuse panel in ridiculous location. Will have to remove seat for access.
Suggestions?
Not necessarily. It could also be the rheostat (dimmer switch) is broken. I seem to recall that this is also a fairly common issue. That said, I'm not sure of a way to test this short of acquiring a new one and plugging it in.Thanks for info. Didn't realize manual had a detail of each fuse in the back. Not noted in the index.
Fuse position 18 (Tail) indicates tail lights, license plate lights, instrument panel lights, & instrument cluster lights on this circuit. The tail lights & license plate lights work. So it would have to be a wire sending current to the instrument lights is disconnected.
Yep, it's that wheel on the left side of the dash. You can pop that entire trim piece out and then get at the rheostat - if you have the coin holder there (no tire pressure reset button), then just pop that out and it makes it very easy to pop the trim piece out. If not, a thin flathead screwdriver should be able to get between the dash and trim and pop it carefully.Roger that.
Would that be the "wheel" on the left-hand side of the dash? If it's not that difficult to access I can replace it. Is it easy to get to? If so, I have the ability to replace it.
Please advise. Tx.
