:confused:I have a 2006 corolla xrs..My passenger airbag light says its off. Can it be that I just have to reset it? If so how can I do that. Or can it be that I have to replace the sensor?

It says off until someone or something is on the seat, I think it is around 50 pounds or so. There is a pressure switch that gets activated. If someone is on the seat and it still says off, take it to the dealer as you are probably still under warranty.

Exactly. It is off until a passenger big enough to sustain the impact of the airbag sits in the passenger seat (50 lbs weight or over). Infants generally can die upon deployment of the airbag so it is off by default.
