I'm interested in installing a new head unit in my 2007 Corolla S but have never done it before. I'm looking for guide or some resources. I also need to know if it is compatible with the 2007 Corolla, what tools I will need, if I need to buy an amplifier or extra equipment/materials, etc.

The Head unit:

I usually use crutchfield.com to search for equipment that fits. Once I know it fits then I try and google until I find something cheaper or buy from crutchfield. Crutchfield usually charges a premium price but you also get quality adaptors for making sure head is wired correctly plus a good quality faceplate.

Crutchfield.com definitely to check on sizing. Also, check reviews; I was going to buy a double-din like that until I saw reviews complaining about how locked up most functions are unless you're in park, or you install a second module to bypass it (and they're things like hands-free calling FFS). And it sounds like a lot of the newer double-din are like that.

Ended up going with this head unit: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A83XUM4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1[/ame]

Got this wiring harness: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009UHKW/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1[/ame]

This Double Din Kit: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EBJTYM/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1[/ame]

and am going to use this installation kit :[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Scosche-Tk12-Pro-Installation-Tool/dp/B001AO4NJ4/ref=pd_ybh_8[/ame]

But someone on yahoo answers says that I will need an antenna adapter as well, but I can't find one specific for the corolla 07. Crutchfield, and sonixelectronix didn't say I needed one, can anyone confirm this?
