2007 TCH Cold air intake

okay, so to start off, yes-i know it's pointless. yes- i know it's stupid. :lol:

with that being said, i'm looking into installing a CAI on my 07 TCH. This is purely for the intake noise, i am aware that there are little to no performance gains. I just can't stand how quiet my car is and i need something to make me smile a bit when i get on the throttle. i just want to make sure that this will not hurt my car, temperature wise or mpg wise. i simply want to do it for the induction noise- nothing more, nothing less. any input is appreciated (once again, yes- i know it is pointless), and any other ideas to give my car some more noise are MUCH appreciated. Thanks guys.

Let us know how it works out. I would keep all the stock stuff just in case. You shouldn't get a precipitous drop in MPG, but I have limited knowledge of how this kind of thing effects the hybrids. Research:
Your engine is designed to exacting specs, including air intake. Changing it can cause a cascading effect. Some do it - I think Vangm25 has experience with it on his gas engine, but not sure who has done it on a hybrid. You may get more noise due to knocking and the engine constantly trying to adjust due to the lack of the designed air intake.
