What's going on everyone,

Quick question, I'm no gear head yet, and have a small understanding about car and modifications. I currently have a 2007 toyota avalon xls, I know this is no supra or camaro, but it is a very good quality car and long lasting.

I am wondering if someone can give me some insight as to how I can go about upgrading the engine components of this car, exterior wise I have an idea of what I would like to do, but I want to gian insight as far as what I want to do with the engine, as I know there is not a whole lot you can do for this car, as it is kinda a grandpa car.

Please let me know, this is just a project i'm hoping to complete, I plan to get a real clean car I can modify as well.

I would say my goal is...

upgraded exhaust

I know I need a timing kit changed soon. So something that help switch the gears quicker. I guess maybe shortergears

increased intake

better horsepower

good tune

etc.
