Cost of OEM belt tensioner assembly16620-0W093 is around $170. Gates and Dayco sell equivalent for $120. I suspect the cheap $50 stuffs from Amazon and Ebay are junks? Has anyone had good experiences with non-OEM parts? My OEM unit (180K miles) makes rattling noise for about 20 seconds after a cold start. Will remove/clean the belt and check the condition of the pulley this weekend.

Is there a source to purchase high quality hydraulic tensioner alone instead of buying the whole belt tensioner assembly? The aftermarket Gates unit uses a spring instead of the hydraulic tensioner.

I dont think the hydraulic is available separately. At least, I have never seen it offered this way.

Check Rockauto for the available aftermarket options. I have used ACDelco on other cars and they performed well. YMMV

INA brand is the OEM Mfgr and is sold at Rock Auto.

Have any of the aftermarket Belt Tensioners held up over time better than OEM/INA? Anyone need to replace the bolt or the threaded stud as part of the repair? Other tips? My Tensioner has play at both ends of the spring/damper, and a resonance at 1000-1200 rpm. I found this great thread...
