2008 Camry Door Panel Removal

I am going for the new speaker install this weekend and was wondering if anyone had the directions for the door panel removal for a 2008 camry. I've looked around but could only find directions for older models. I know crutchfield has a good one but I didn't order from them. Any help?

Another idea would be to pay someone for the install but everywhere I checked they wanted 300-400 and I'm only willing to pay 100-150(including wires). Here's what I have: Speaker wire to RCA Converter, 2 amps, 1 set 6.5 components & 1 10" sub.

Where are you in Cali. If you are in San Diego, I know a local stereo shop that will do it around $100-$150.
I'm actually in the Inland Empire area. If I can't find anyone closer I might have to hit up the San Diego installers. Thanks for info.

Is that $100-$150 for the installation cost only?
I JUST ordered from Crutchfield and got my shipment in last week as a matter of fact since I am about to start on almost the same project.

I am about to go to work, so if you dont mind waiting until later on today, I can scan the instructions for you for removing the door panel, then post it on here.

That will save you some money.

Thanks. Appreciation for doing that will come from many of us on this forum.

That would be great! I have the instructions for the rear speaker installation, but not the front.
I did the front and there it's pretty simple and straight forward. Just remove the obvious, and remove the panel.
Ebumdude and Geoff, it would be GREATLY appreciated if you can post the instructions on a DIY for the speakers. It will save us a lot of us NOOBIES ( :ugh3:) on time and money. In fact, if we can get a DIY on removing the ENTIRE INTERIOR of the car lol, that would be awesome. Maybe this way, we can remove all the sound deadening materials and reduce the weight by 1% or less!
I could also use the directions on removing the factory stereo. I need to get at both the front and rear speaker wires for the converter and I figure the simplest way to do that would be at the connecton to the unit so they are all in one place.

Someone jump right on that....he has no manual, no clue and he needs to get everything done in the next 2 days.

Chop, chop.
Where in IE are you? I can help you with it if you want to come up to 29.

I've done door speakers and the factory stereo. Getting to the stereo is a pain in the ass and a half. You have to remove everything beginning at the cup holders all the way up to the vents.

Getting to the stereo is fairly straight-forward but lots of stuff to remove. This is what my dash looked like after removing the stock HU.

Mark me down as another noob wanting to remove the door panels. That would be very much appreciated, ebumdude. Thanks.

im dreading taking out this radio next month, everytime i look at your pic
Most of the fasteners on the doors are clips. Just look for screws on the door panel face and sides. There's one hidden behind the black cover by the lever to open the door. After you've removed all the screws you can see, just start yanking at the edge of the door until it's only clipped on at the top at the bottom of the window. At this point, lift the door panel towards the top of the door and it will unhook from the window sill.

I did not look at any manual or DIY prior. I just went at it with some screwdrivers, masking tape, and a socket set.

It's not as hard as it looks, but it's a pain in the ass the first time. It will take longer the first time because you don't know where the clips are though. I think there's 6 screws total to do that. Everything else is clipped.

I took that photo the first time I did that disassembly and it took me some 90 minutes.

We shall see, i plan on spending a entire day redoing all the audio and adding subs and amps and all the wiring maybe gps if I save the money.
I will have the instructions posted in about 10 minutes...
Just created a new DIY thread for all to keep this more organized for the future people that use the search function.
