2008 corolla dash lights and day-time running lights remain on at night even after I park the car and turn off the headlight switch and put on the emergency brake. They go out only when I finally turn the ignition off. The only thing different I did from the previous day was apply some armorall on the dash. If some of it got on the DRL sensor would it cause this issue?

Your car has a photosensor, and when it becomes dusk, the lights come on automatically, regardless of the setting of your light switch. Your lights should have always done that.
