Looking at a 2008 Sequoia Limited with 95k miles. The car is in really good condition. However, the roof rack black paint is deteriorating and showing the bare metal on about 30% of it. What could be causing this? No, not from roof rack accessories.. wish I would've taken pics.

I would get carbon tape (black) and tape it
Same year same mileage. Same problem. Remove and repaint or body shop for repaint
