Noticed a squeal when turning right in my 09 matrix xrs (217,000 km, second owner, no maintenance history before 150,000 km and I have only changed the oil). I thought it was the brake but i pulled the wheel and the pads seem fine, although i did not confirm whether a pin was seized or not. The squealing is pretty consistent but most pronounced when turning right, and less when turning left, and comes and goes on occasion while driving straight. A mechanic at work told me it is most likely my wheel bearing but i want to see if there are other opinions.

Could it be CV joint instead? Also, if I am going to replace the wheel bearing I need to know if its a press bearing or not.

Thanks, if more info is needed let me know

sounds like a left wheel bearing, fronts are usually pressed and rears are bolted, but I dont know for sure on corrollas. cv joints usually make a clicking noise when turning when they're bad
