Ok, first of all, am I doing something wrong with my searches or is the search feature retarded on this forum? Any time i search for something I get things with no words that even relate to the ones I searched for. So...forgive me if this has been posted before...

Does anyone know if there is a major update/change to the tacoma in the upcoming years? I am starting to outgrow/get bored with my 07 dbl cab... i was tempted to trade it on an 09 a couple months ago...decided not to...I am kicking around the idea of trading on a tundra crewmax limited(ha..if i could afford it)..but before i make any major moves, i didnt know if someone had any idea if theres any major changes in the near future for the tacoma? i know there are a couple nice changes coming up for the tundra..i just haven't heard anything about the tacoma yet...
thanks for any input.

Rumors have a re-design slated for 2012. It's a safe bet that 2010 won't be a major change.
I haven't heard of any changes coming but I am guessing 2011 before a redesign.
:deadhorse

i wouldn't expect any major changes.... and yes, this has been beaten to death. i could be wrong, but i wouldn't expect anything.

the search function on this forum does have it's up and downs, but if you use more "technical" terms, it works better.

the tundra has upcoming changes because toyota wants to enter the 3/4 and 1 ton truck realm in america. i think it was the SEMA tundra that i saw. it's supposed to be an idea of what toyota wants to produce for a larger truck.
toyota bought the rights to the Duramax engine line aka the tundra WILL get a diesel engine
Did I hear "change?" The way this economy is going I am saying 2012. And be prepared for major fees and taxes hikes on new vehicles because of emission restrictions = thanks to our congress and dear leader! :thumbsdow:

there is talk about toyota combining with isuzu, but does that mean duramax. granted, the isuzu is/was a gm product and the gm's have a duramax diesel.... who knows until it actually comes out.

Diesel is still more expensive and new emissions regs kill their ability to get the good MPGs they used to. A diesel Tundra would be cool, and I'd probably buy one just because, but it's not an option people are going to line up to buy.
