I just got my Tacoma, extended cab, 4cyl. 2wd for gas mileage. My tires are the basic cheap tires that come with that model. I live in an area where ice and snow will be an issue and I want something better. I also want some that look better, bigger, but not giving up the mileage. Is this possible? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Any time you increase the size and weight of the tire, you run the risk of losing a few miles per gallon.

What size came on your taco?

Right now I have Dunlop Grandtrek 215/70R15. The truck came from southern Missouri, so they are probably not what I'll need in Central Ill. Thanks for any input.

I have 2wd regular cab 5lugger Taco... I am interested in this as well. I wonder how big of a tire i can put on the stock rims without lifting the truck...
