i just got a new 2012 camry se with the inline 4 and i love it. i dont want to leave it stock though. first i want to put some new rims on it but i want the same size tire as stock so i can just swap tires over since they are brand new. i dont like how the stock rims have that sunk in look so i want my new rims to be more flush. so my stock rims are 17x7 +45 offset, im looking at getting some XXR 521's in a 17x7 +38 offset. can anyone confirm these rims would fit and if they would have the right fitment im looking for, taking away the sunk in look? if not can someone give me suggestions on a rim that would have the fitment im looking for in a style rim similar looking to the XXR 521's.

im also planning on lowering it on some H&R springs. anyone have any info, good or bad on these springs? im also curious if id have to roll the fenders running the XXR rims since i want them more flush. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spacers aren't required if you have the correct offset. I haven't seen enough new wheels on the Camry to be able to tell you what the correct offset will be. You're better off going to a wheel/tire shop and test-fitting a few wheels to check which offset works best for you.

As VIP said, you may have to roll the fenders if you lower the car. Depends on the wheel offset and how low you go.

H&R makes some of the best performance springs. If you want to lower on springs, I'd consider also getting performance shocks so you don't overload your OEM ones. (It doesn't always happen, but aftermarket springs can lead to OEM shocks blowing prematurely.) Personally I'd wait for coilovers to come out. Megan EZ coilovers are $600 and will allow you to lower as little or as much as you want, and allow you to change the stiffness/dampening as well.

this is my wifes car that we just got so im not going to do much to it. i just want it to look good. coilovers are out of the question. id get coilovers for my 2 ae86's before the camry. most of my money goes into my 86's being that i drift every week at my local track. so tires and parts when they break which they do when you go out and beat your car up is what i want to spend cash on. rolling the fenders is not a problem since i have a roller and a heat gun. running slammed 86's on negative offset wheels im familiar with tires rubbing. being its my first FF car im not to familiar with lame positive offset rims.

ill wait till some springs come out before i get the rims, im just not sold on TRD stuff, at least the new stuff. TRD is all about stickers, apparel, off roading and stuff like that. they dont actually track test stuff like they used to. my 86's run on TRD race springs that are discontinued but came in a bunch of different spring rates for the fine tuning of your driving style. not lowering springs like they do now so im not sold on new TRD. well see how it goes but since im not driving it that much, i dont need it to be awesome like my 86's in the suspension department so the TRDs might do just fine.
