Ive notice that when i accelerate usualy from very low speeds i hear a knock near the back right of the car, almost like debris hitting the wheel well back there.

It only happens when im accelerating and from low speeds, i seem to also think it happens more when im going around a small bend or a slight curve. Generally to the right.

Ive checked that area didnt notice anything out of place, no warning lights come on or anything just the knock. its almost as if something is "clicking" into its place?

Anyone have a similiar issue?

Thanks guy!

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing, it's a 2012, take it to the dealer.

Took it to the dealer,

they couldnt find the problem. Bearings are all fine. ill monitor it and get back to everyone.

If it happens at around 15 mph and only once after starting, it could be the anti-lock brake system. Our 2011 does this, I think there is something on this forum about it. Supposedly some kind of self-check.

Personally, I would take it back to the dealer and force them to find the issue, that is unacceptable. It's a brand new car...

I say, take it back and tell them to find the issue and have them cover the loaner.

But that's just me, I'm a douche when it comes to Stealerships...

But seriously... 2012? Ridiculous...

I'm really starting to wonder if I'll buy another Toyota with all the "poor quality" threads.

I can reproduce something similar each time I take the Sequoia out.

Car could be cold, or a few minutes running to warm it up. Will not matter.

Back out of driveway, shift into drive, right about 20-21kms/hour (right in that 12-15mph range) there will be a noticeable "clunk"

I say "clunk" because that is what it sounds like. It sounds internal, like a transmission gear forcibly hitting something while shifting and I can feel a vibration through the gas pedal.

Once the car has warmed up, it will not do this again. It did not do this during the summer, is VERY prominent now that winter has come.

I recorded video on three separate occasions to take to the dealer.

Is this the same issue you are having?

I just bought a certified used 2012 Platinum and am noticing this clunk noise at very low speeds when I shift out of park. It is exactly how you describe and it only does it after shifting out of park. Once I am driving it doesnt come back. Did you ever figure out what it was or if greasing helped?

Thanks, it is annoying me!

That's almost guaranteed to be the normal ABS self test procedure. Check your owners manual and google "Toyota ABS self test" to verify this condition is normal.
