My 2012 TCH XLE came with the Bridgestone Turanza EL400 P215/55 R17 tires. There is lots of road noise either from the tires or lack of sound deadening. What other tires are original equipment on this model?? What mileage can be expected from these tires? (probably not much on OEM). They also came with Nitrogen fill.

If my new XLE hybrid (coming in April) comes with Bridgestone or Toyo tires, I plan on calling Discount Tires for a swap-out. They are building a new location here in our small city and will open in April. I did call our nearest Discount Tire store which is about 75 miles from here. The salesman was nice and said they could swap-out my tires and allow up to $45 (negotiable) to $50, or maybe more for trade on new Michelin Tires. He also mentioned the newer 17" size tires are becoming more popular.

I looked at the XLE hybrid OEM tires on the Tire Rack web site. I see they are rather expensive, especially the Toyo brand. The UTQC codes are low for these two brands at 220 and 260, but show to be high for the OEM Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires at 500.
