With the new 2013 altima hitting the street soon, has anyone heard about the 2013 camry debute date or if toyota might have something up their sleeve to take some of the wind out of nissan's sail?

Are you expecting camry restyling?
Too early for that. :)
I’ve seen 2013 altima pictures, to me it looks like pretty ugly mini maxima- I like old altima much better.
and I never been in love with CVT.
I doubt altima will beat camry. It never came close to camry before… Toyota should be worried more about new accord than about new altima.

Should Toyota worry about the 2013 Fusion?
actually they should:
they say new fusion (a.k.a. mondeo :)) exact copy of europian mondeo
will have 1.6 160HP and 2.0 240 HP turbo engines, 2.5 non-turbo and hybrid model too.
I've read that 1.6 model estimated city MPG around 30... and hybrid's city MPG around 45-47. will will see.
it sure looks good, at least on pictures. but ford known for taking shortcuts, so nobody knows how final product gonna look. price is the second biggest concern, for some reason european cars aren't cheap...

Fusion and Altima are poised to give Camry / Accord / Sonata / Malibu a serious run for the money. It's a crowded market and Nissan has proven it can sell a ton of Altimas.

Toyota doesn't need rebates or incentives to sell cars.

Now THAT'S funny!

Local Toy store here sold truckload after truckload of 2011 Camrys at $6500 off including Toyota incentives and discounts. They also sell tons of Tundras at 10K off with the same. Rebates and incentives are just a way of doing business these days.
