Is yours a factory extended warranty or third party?
Looks like it was a wise investment for the car you were delivered.
I had a 5 year factory plan on top of the 3 yr. the car came with to 100k miles my 2001 Corvette (extra $2,600). When I heard from other owners that a water pump would be $900-$1,100 bucks it seemed like a good idea since GM are misers with warranty coverage of only 36k miles. I sold the car in 2010 with 82k plus miles. Never had any warranty work. Or a water pump!
Luck of the draw :)

My only comment is to shop around for your warranty on your next purchase. We bought the Toyota Platinum 8 year / 125k mile, Zero deductible plan for around $1,400 from an out of state dealer, so also saved on the sales tax.

Repairs covered by the plan: Front struts & alignment, auto-folding mirror, navigation radio head, HVAC main panel.

You are right, that’s what I’ve learn from this experience. That you can shop around from other Toyota dealers for the best warranty price!
Is the OP saying that his Platinum Warranty covered 2 sets of replacement tires, wheel alignments and oil changes?
The best money I have spent on repairs was for a lifetime alignment from Firestone. $150 on sale, normally $199. Any time you change a suspension part, take it in for an alignment.
it pays to be handy. The cost the dealership charges is like re-buying the vehicle.
