Hey guys! I'm a little new here so if this has already been solved or posted I apologise for inconvenience. If not then I hope this helps other newbies like me. My dad has recently purchased a 2014 Toyota Camry le ( the base model ) and he loves it! I'm planning to buy him a double din for his birthday but It would be really cool if I could install it myself as it would save me a bucket load of money. From having experience installing single dins I'm hoping double dins are not as different.

THINGS I"M GONNA NEED?:

1. A mounting bracket
2. Wiring harness
3. A double din deck with navigation and back up camera compatibility ( already installed with factory radio)

Upgrading the radio in a modern car is a lot more complicated then say one of the mid 90's. Modern cars have the HAVC integrated along with other things with the radio which makes it a PITA. Doesn't seem too bad but check with Crunchfield for insturctions or a guide.

Problem with 14 Camry is the radio bezel. I don't know where to buy a double din bezel for this car so I bought whole Direct fit 10.1" Android unit on Ebay. Little pricy but it's basically android tablet with audio amplifier and canbus decoder to read all the setting in your car. I'm happy. Search ebay for "12 10 Android camry" and you will know what I mean. Look in pictures section. I have post some pics.

For a double din Nav your going to need:

Dash Kit:
Metra 99-8232B or American International TOYK981
*I tried both in my 2015 Camry and the Metra kit was hands down a more substantially built kit

Harness and Canbus Adapter:

GPS Satellite Antennae adapter (to use the factory Toyota GPS antennae instead of adding the one that comes with the aftermarket radio):

And wiring I used the idatalink maestro to keep my steering wheel controls but that would depend on if you used a stereo that is setup for that. Both are available from crutchfield.
