Hello...need some help!!

I've noticed a couple post pertaining to blower motors in the forums but nothing that could answer my questions.

When I turn on the blower for circulation, there is a low hum and slight vibration. I took it to a garage and they informed me it was the front blower motor under the passenger dash and that it would be $250 to fix. I ordered the factory replacement blower motor and installed it myself. It did not sold the problem. In fact, I think the noise./hum/ vibration is slightly worse.

Any ideas?

Does the pitch or intensity change with fan speed. Have you placed your hand on the blower housing to see if you could quell or influence the sound? Does it come from the motor directly, or are you possibly hearing electrical noise thru the radio?
