I just bought a used 2015 Carolla LE, I took it on a few tests drives and everything looked fine, but then I buy it, take it home and open the driver door to get out and a high pitched whine alarm comes on. I didn't hear it when I was test driving the car and opened the door and I'm not sure what triggered it.
It's not loud, but a high frequency that gives me a headache after a few seconds (think dog whistle) Is this standard or is this indicating something besides the door is open? Can I switch it to another noise or turn it down? Nothing in the owners manual helps.
