Hello.

On my 3rd Sienna - a 2015 LE AWD we purchased 11 months ago. So far so good except...

On cold days the heater fan is super noisy. Of course it did not happen when I brought it in to the dealer. They tried to convince me a cabin filter change might be the fix but I declined. Is that possible?

I have heard of things like fans rubbing against filters but why only in cold weather?

What is the type of noise? You can grab the housing from under the dash (glove box area). Is it plastic buzzing that you can dampen? Or a bearing squeak? How does it change with rotation speed or system mode?

Probably expansion when warm and contraction when cold. My fan always makes and annoying noise when it is turned on full and it doesn't matter if it is cold or hot.

I replace my cabin filters at least 1x a year. Especially after fall, leaves can get in and are quite noisy. Removes yours, either shake it out or replace it depending on condition and see if that helps.
