I was just wondering if there is a way to disable the lift gate release on the fob. I figured that eventually we will push it and it will hit what’s behind it.

There are hard shell protective sleeve available where the buttons are covered, but, those are mostly designed for smart key key fobs (does Not block the wireless transmission for approaching the vehicle and push start ignitions).. I assume you have no desire to deactivate the entire lift gate by using the switch/button next to the glove box.

Dealer can disable the hatch open by key fob with their computer in the cofig.menu

You have to push the fob button a couple of seconds... Not likely to happen by accident
