Waiting to order a 2017.
Wondering if anyone knows what trims & colors the new brown leather interior will be available in.
I guess my first question is why are you still waiting to order a 2017? Since the order bank opened over a month ago for fleet purchases I would assume most retail outlets have already started placing their own inventory orders. First production is scheduled for 10/31. I would call my dealer of choice and ask for the manager in charge of ordering. At the very least he should be able to tell you about colors/combinations.

All I've seen so far is that brown leather will only be available on the Limited Platinum trim level. Don't know about colors.

There is a simultaneous discussion going on about the brown leather in the 2017 Highlander thread. The consensus is that it will be available for the Limited and the Platinum based on multiple sources.

Regarding the color options, I think it's safe to say that you probably won't be able to get brown leather with the body colors that clearly don't match like gray or silver. You can depend on white (as in the hybrid test drive), green, and probably red and black and one would assume the toasted walnut. My guess is not with shoreline blue - I don't think that brown leather would go with that. As one of the other posters mentioned, you probably can check the available color schemes of the other models.

If you really want brown leather with a body color that isn't available then perhaps you should reconsider. But, hey, I was hoping to get an SE in Jade but they only seem to offer green bodies with beige interior and not black or grey so what do I know - I probably have bad taste.

As far as ordering goes, I don't think anyone here has reported that they have gotten very far with any dealerships. They seem to all still be in the "Why don't you consider a 2016 so you don't have to wait?" mode. According the Toyota rep in the hybrid review video, pricing isn't expected until the end of October. There's really no excuse for that. Why would you not know what the prices will be?

I have a funny feeling that you will be able to get the Saddle interior with Predawn Gray Mica exterior.

On the Sienna, you can get Predawn Gray Mica (or Silver) on Chestnut Leather (Limited).

On the 4Runner, you can get Magnetic Gray on Redwood Leather (Limited).

On the Tundra, you can get Magnetic Gray on Brown Leather (1794 Edition).

On the Tacoma, you can get Magnetic Gray or Silver with Hickory Leather (Limited).

On the Corolla, you can get Slate Gray or Silver with Brown cloth.

On the Rav4, you can get Magnetic Gray with Cinnamon Softex (Limited, Platinum).

Etc.

Take your pick:

Is there any reason why every one of these listed Toyota production start dates are on the last day of the month? If they aren't ready to go with the 2017's at the end of September do they go ahead and build another month's worth of 2016's? I'm guessing they announce a production month but not to the day.

What's interesting is one shows 10/1, while the other two show 10/31.

When I was at the dealer last month, the sales guy showed me his screen where the last production date for the 2016 model was at the end of Sept.

The only thing between any Highlander and YOUR choice of single color, or 2 tone and custom color stitching with higher quality leather, also ALL leather (the backs of the 3rd gen HL seats, and all of the rear seats are NOT leather in the leather models) seats is $1500 to $2000 installed
