Seems like we're getting mice up the fresh air intake. I've had to pull the blower motor to clean debris after they ate up the cabin filter and would like to install some hardware cloth somewhere. I see a small plastic grate up above the cabin filter that is chewed up, would like to know where the other side is. I've seen references to under the wiper blades, but looking at it I don't see any opening there. Any tips?

So I just dived in took the wiper arms off, wiper cover off, it just snaps in. Here's the nest-

And here's the old plastic guard for fresh air intake where the mice ate through-

New grate made of doubled 1/4" hardware cloth

Hopefully the rodents aren't small enough to squeeze around the screen or strong enough to move it out of their way!
Now they'll just have to go to town on your car's wiring!

Yeah they got under engine cover and started chewing on the coil wiring, had to do some spicing. Removed the engine cover, set a couple traps with velcro holding them down. We've started driving it more, it's the wife's car and she'll go days without driving it.
