Thanks andrerubang! I'm thinking to upgrade high/low beam and fog lights. Thinking to do HID for low beam and LED for the others.

I too am looking for bulbs to match the drls. I've been leaning towards LEDs for the sake of not having to deal with bulky canbus boxes and excess wires.

I just bought a pair of AuxBeam LED's for my Subaru which uses the same size bulb as the Highlander. I can post some pics later in the week to see if it matches the DRL

@andrerubang - Thanks for taking the time to check, as we're still updating our 2017 Toyota Lamp Replacement Guide (Highlander is not listed yet).

I'm guessing that the fog light bulb is an h16 bulb (same as the 2016) as the manual shows that it's a 19W halogen bulb.

These are the kits I would suggest going with:

9005 LED Kit for the high beams
H16 LED kit for the fog lights

For the low beams, I would still suggest going with an h11 4300k HID kit for the brightest, and most functional light output.

If you want a sufficient output from your headlights, you'll need an extreme led kit, which also has a "dongle" (not sure if it's called a ballast similar to HID, or just a capacitor). These are smaller than the HID ballasts, but you still need to tie them up to something.

As Steve mentioned, and I agree, you cannot beat a HID kit for your headlights. 4300k will give you the most light, although 5000k might be closer to pure-white DRLs... And there is plenty of extra space in the HL engine bay to stick the ballasts without worrying about them.
