Has anyone done this yet? Do you need a battery/memory saver? Do you need any reset codes?

what's the question? Will disconnecting the battery reset the ecu/radio/settings? No it won't. I've disconnected the battery for my friend's camry before we took out the radio and plugging the radio back in and reconnecting battery didn't reset anything. Nowadays you need techstream, toyota's diagnostic software tool, to reset the ecu or any subsystems like the blindspot monitoring or ICS.
It will reset some trouble codes but most of the major ones are saved on the ecu and can't be reset without techstream. Other trouble codes don't get saved on the ecu.
