Toyota has started testing MY2024+ 4th generation Tacoma prototypes with production spec body panels that make it look more refined than previous versions.

The final design under all that camouflage seems to be hiding a lower hood line, aggressive grille, new front bumper and low air diffuser below it. Out back we can see a new tail light design reaching into the tailgate, this is unlike anything we've seen from Toyota.

Also noticeable is a smoother rake and larger overall cab. Toyota might have addressed complaints around interior space and to better position it under the new Tundra.

The rear sweeper likely hides a version of the Tundra’s coil spring rear suspension design. Toyota took a similar approach with 3rd generation Tundra prototypes.
