My 1987 22re has trouble starting after sitting more than 5-6 hours. Cold or warm weather doesn't seem to effect the starting problem. Once its started, every time you try to start it as long as its only been an hour or two or even 3 hours or so since the last time I started it, it starts right up but in the mornings and when I get off work its a pain in the @$$.

Also, when you start it after it sets for a while, you have to pump the gas, turn it over, pump the gas, turn it over, ect... then finally after doing this numerous times it will start (it always starts eventually). Since I have to pump the gas pedal to start it, its leading me to believe its the air flow meter or the fuel pump but from past experience the fuel pump doesn't just slowly go out. any suggestions would be appreciated.
