The other day i was driving home and something out of the corner of my eye distracted me for a second, just long enough for me to roll into a rotory. I avoided clipping the rotory island but instead clipped the far curb outside the rotory. I think i messed up something, my car kind of...hiccups (basically there seems to be a hitch in the steering when the wheels are turned to the left). It doesn't happen everytime though. I swear the bad shit follows this car around like a dark cloud. This time was my fault (and i'm pissed), but shit, just in the last nine months i've had:

A deer commit suicide on my front end
a battery fail with no prior warning
a moving company damage the car
my now ex GF backed my car into the bushes and broke my antenna
some asshole scraped their bumper across the side of my car in a parking lot (even though i go WAY out of my way to not park near anyone)
A Rim crack
i nearly got hit by a fuel tanker because some asshole cut it off and it swerved to avoid him and instead ran me off the road.
i nearly got hit by a guy who was too busy text messaging on his cell phone instead of watching the road

Just this morning some old bitch ran me off the road (accelerated up from way behind me, rode the lines between the two lanes to get next to me, and then merged back into my lane and directly at my car, forcing me to pull onto the shoulder, i just let the lunatic pass)

I swear to god as if the strong association this car has with me and my ex's relationship isn't enough (and it is, i sometimes consider pushing the car into a river) I have to deal with random bad shit all the time. I almost want to just sell the fucking thing and buy an S2000.

Hell if someone offers me a good price i'll sell it with the CT26, the 5spd parts, the 5spd tranny...Everything i have basically.

damn dude sorry to hear that, we all have our times, I too once had the idea of letting the car go, esp after my insurance company told me that my car was totalled in my accident back in september that also turned into a robbery of over $1,000 of personal items including my e-manage,

, of last year. Things have been slow but its all coming together, slowly but surly bro. Its funny how everybody is talking about the CPT meet already, like most of you I'm also getting my car ready for the show, its not gonna be as nice has Trinhinds (sorry if I spell your name right) car but it'll look pretty nice for all its been through

the S2K has more torque than the 4Cyl Camry.

barely ... its like 15 ft-lbs more for a sporty roadster, which is sad IMO

everyone is aware of the torqueless wonder that is VTAK!

2003 - 2809 lbs (100 lbs lighter than my car) with 153 ft-lbs (8 ft-lbs more than my car) ... you catch my drift

2004 and up S2K has 163lb Ft and the big number is its 240HP. Plus with six forward gears and a relatively light 2800lb curb weight the car moves.

I'm going to look at a Black S2K i found today. Either way i plan to keep the Camry, but it might have a sexier stablemate here soon. I'm pissed that i might need to buy a new car, but i'm sick of being FORCED to sink money into the cam because the car is the epitomy of murphy's law.

What if you got a different camry? Although that doesn't really add diversity like the s2000 would.

I only would be able to stand a coupe, and probably a V6 coupe at that. Plus i really want a manual transmission. I find it much more involved and fun to drive.

relatively light 2800lbs, but the camry is a boat at 2900

dont get me wrong, the S2K is a decent car (if 2JZ swapped) ... but torque is more important to my lifestyle than whorespower

the S2k is an awesome car. but you really ahve to drive it liek a porche. all the power is up top. id love to have an S2K but if it came down to a WELL built turbo 4cyl camry coupe or that, id want the camry.

after driving one though i absolutly love the handling and it more than makes up for the piss poor tq. but i perfer a car that handles.

I'm ALL about the Whorespower. I like the top end cause the wind at speed makes the skirts come up

Your car would weight in at 2932 lbs

. The Cam gets called a boat due to...Power to Weight Ratio. The Cam has a pwr/wght ratio of like 24:1 vs the S2K's 11:1. Even if you're comparing it as lb/ft of torque per pound of body mass the cam STILL has a noticably higher ratio (21:1 to the s2k's 17:1). All that means more vroom when you push the go pedal. Now if you had a V6 under the hood...

And like Mud, i prefer a car with amazing handling to a car with loads of power. Tell you what Mud, i'll keep the Scepter AND buy an S2K

. Then you can come over and help me slowly build up the cam

. If i get the S2k i think the first thing i'm going to do is strip out all the extraneous weight of creature comforts in the Scepter
