First, I recommend that you drive over to your favorite autoparts store. Have them plug in there scanner in your vehicle and check for any stored codes. The info you have given us is still a little vague. How many miles are on the GTS? What type of gas are you using? Have you given your car a tune up since purchase? Give us as much info as you can, so we can help you out.

Try cleaning your MAF. Here's a link on how to, but I recommend CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner:

Also, try cleaning your OCV screens. Here's another link:

OK the car has 117000 miles on it..i put stricktly 93 octane in the car..i have changed the oil and spark plugs..checked the recently stored codes in the car and popped a 0171 system to lean..but the cel isnt on at the current moment..i guess that could be tied up to the maf sensor to..idk i will try to clean it to see if that helps

its your maf sensor.

its in the air intake tube, held in by 2 lil philips head screws. unscrew it, pull it out, and spray it with some throttle body cleaner (any type will do). be sure to spray up the sensor, not just the tip. that may fix your problem. otherwise the sensor will have to be replaced, and its more than a hundred bucks last i remember.

it could also be a restricted exhaust or cat. even the throttle cable could be that loose or restricted air filter. you could have also jumped time with the engine. it wouldnt be the maf sensor cuz the car would start and die right way. i could also be that your evap lines are pluged. to find that out is the next time it falls on its face turn the car off take off the fuel cap and then put it back on if it runs like a champ then it your vacuum line for your evap.
