I know Hemi is a trademarked name and I know the 3.4L head is a crossflow design. I'm just wondering for all intents and perposes is the 3.4 V6 a hemi. If not, what shape is the combustion chamber in the 3.4, I've never had my heads off(and hope never to have to).

No, it is a pent roof design, and I believe the new Hemi is as well.

I think you call them "Pent-Roof" combustion chambers. They do have a centrally located spark plug like a hemi

I dug up a shot of the 3.4 head from when I did my head gaskets last year. Toyota has been using this lay out on their twin cam motors for over 20 years now. You have to go back to the 20R to find a true hemi chamber from Toyota, or all the way back to the orriginal hemi motors for a Mopar. I don't think there are any motors currently in production with a true hemishperical combustion chamber. The piston tops are flat and slightly dished out.
