Can you shed any light on the advantages of my plan? I've been tlod its a good thing but no technical info. Also how you reckon best way to get the 3mz stuff from the usa? Being in Australia bit hard.
A friend and I have heavily researched this, but yet to have any "hard" evidence of power gains, but all works out on paper. It's just a matter of time for me as my engine is burning oil. Also, I ship to Aus all the time, as I have some friends there. So thats not a problem.

I've dropped a 1mz into a rear wheel drive old celica. Always planned to turbo it but loving the na 1mz at the moment. Just want to find a bit more horses which I reckon is hiding in there.
A shop in Australia who do a lot with 1mz engines put me onto the camshaft idea. I was toying with some individual throttles too.
I think I found some 2mz cams in new Zealand as common engine there.
We didn't get the 2mz-fe official here in the US but we do get them imported.I have one in my es300 .I'm also looking for 3mz exhaust cams let me know if you guys have any luck.The 2mz-fe cams are hard to get without buying the whole engine.
