Hello all, I am a newbie. Just sort of “inherited” a 2004 Limited AWD w/ 202k and 3rd row seat option. Grateful, but have a major issue...can’t seem to get a definitive answer from ANYONE as to whether there are some type of aftermarket quick-struts available for this particular combination. It’s not the Hybrid, and I don’t believe it has the Touring package. The 5th letter of the VIN is P. Of course I’m talking about the rear, the front are no problem to get. I have them from Detroit Axle already. And no, Unity does NOT make them...I contacted them already. And if no one makes all in ones, does anyone know which struts and springs can be ordered separately to make up a package that will work? I’m going a bit crazy about this for a while now. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

I just did quick struts on my 04 3.3l awd w/ 3rd row last fall with monroe assemblies. The rears are part numbers 172215 and 172216. You can find them on rock auto and sometimes on amazon (probably your cheapest options, anyway).
Hayabusafalcon has a post on struts that covers any questions you could have about what to buy and how to install them.

Well, completed the 4 strut swap the other day. Went very well. After a little research, I was able to find StrutTek quick struts, pn cst523 and cst524, for the rear instead of the costly Monroes. Price: $129 for both! So those rears, plus the $145 total Detroit Axle fronts, have given me a Highlander with 203K that rides like a Town Car. And my steering is no longer rubbery either. So I guess time will tell if these thrifty parts will hold up...I’m betting that they will.

sounds great! Post back with any updates, I haven't heard of those struts so it'll be interesting to see how they do.

Quick struts are complete assemblies. They come with the spring and upper bearing already installed. Otherwise you have to compress the spring on the old unit, take it apart, and put it on a new strut along with a new bearing on top. In my opinion they are worth the extra $$.

Can you explain the difference in struttek and Detroit axle?

I am looking to do all 4 struts at the same time, but maybe I am missing something.
