as per the title? any known issues here. the battery leads are clean, no obvious leaks eg doors, globebox,etc

Is this car new to you? Any history of battery draining?

Are you pushing the black button on the top of the steering column and turning the key to the 'off' position before pulling it out?

Also, even though the connectors and posts may be clean, make absolutely sure the contacts are tight. Loose connections can cause local arcing, which can drain a battery in less than a day. Eliminate that basic cause, then continue to more advanced troubleshooting.

checked - connections are tight, but got the multimeter out and its drawing 50ma with the key out. the only sources i can think of are the clock and the radio

I went through the same thing as you and it turned out to be that the black button on top of the steering column was not being pushed. I had the same amount of draw as you. Listen to White90dx, he knows his stuff!!!

Well start unplugging fuses 1 at a time until the draw drops down.

By any chance do you have an aftermarket alarm system on this car? Many times I have seen aftermarket alarm system be the source of excess draw after the car is turned off. If you have one, pull the fuse from that system first (usually an inline fuse) and recheck the draw.
