So I got my hands on a 4th gen 3sgte that I’ve been freshening up to install into a 6th gen celi. I’m wondering what the capabilities of the stock ecu are assuming that I upgrade my entire fuel system rail, injectors, and pump. I’ve heard that with a fmic, 3inch berk down pipe, and an extra pound or two of boost that I could achieve close to 300 whp. I’ve been going back and forth with either getting a stock ecu or just going standalone and just being set to make more power in the future once I build internals. Any info would be much appreciated.

If I were doing that swap, I would first run it completely stock with the stock ECU just to confirm that the engine runs well and to make sure everything is working as it should. With a 3in downpipe, intake, boost at ~17psi, and some other minor upgrades, you can most likely achieve 300whp. Anything more than 330-350whp, you'll probably want to start thinking of upgrading engine internals.
