I have a certified used 07 4runner v6 just recently purchased with 60,000 miles. Out of curiosity one day, I tried the 4wd and what do you know, it did not engage. Likewise, 4 low did not work. Being a certified Toyota, I naturally expected EVERYTHING to function as it should. I read somewhere that this may be a lockout mechanism, with the purpose of indicating another problem. Is there some kind of reset or other obvious fix for this problem that I can try before resorting to taking it back to the dealer? :headbang:

O7 and certified. Mileage is somewhat low for problems like this to occur. I would bring it back to the dealer asap. Another reason you want to bring it back is so they have a record of it
