I am now on my 3rd Tranny and possibly going on 4th. The engine has 236,000 and still going. What are my options for manual transmissions? I don't like the gear ratio of the five speed and would prefer something shorter gears and able to last a little longer.

Is the Starlet Tranny a bolt on?

Well I am not made of money, or I would be driving something better suited for rallying or go with a sequential from X-trac.
I am not doing anything out of the ordinary other than what you are doing.

Where can I find the gear ratios of the different gear boxes? Which is the stronger gear boxes?

The first tranny lasted till around 180k then the main shaft made some serious noise and I couldn't get any power to the ground and had to pretty much crawl on my commute home. Second one only lasted about 3k till it started making a terrible noise as well. The third is making a knocking or popping noise similar to a cv joint but sporadically on acceleration from stops, braking, turning, and bumps.
