i am looking into building a 5M-GE for something to do i wasnt looking to spend that much and was just looking for something simpe around low to mid 300hp range. when it comes to other motors other than a inline 4 from toyota im kinda lost. is there a decent after market parts selection for the 5m motors?

Nope, not that I know of. I believe many 7M parts fit... but you can't quote me on that.
