How about some pics of how you mounted the lights behind the grill? :naughty:

I've been thinking about doing that at some point... Hell I've got f'n lights everywhere else... (engine bay, bed, under the doors, under the bumper....) I need a second battery soon!

Looks good, and every time I see it I want lights behind my grill. In fact, I might steal your front shot and PS them onto mine to see what they look like on an Indigo Ink with BHLM and black grill surround.

What the hell are you shooting at anyway? :D
here it is in a nut shell. the holes in the core support are already there and equally spaced, so i used those. as ******* as that metal plumber's looks, i had to add it after the fact because i was getting excessive fluttering in the desert. works well. looks like shit. luckily, you cannot see it with the grill on.

Looks good all muddied up

Where did you move your horns when you put the hellas behind the grille?
before i got my allpro bumper, i mounted the horns in some existing holes in the lower radiator brace area. you have to extend the wires to do that.
after the allpro, i moved them both over to the driver's side upper radiator bolt (crammed-tight fit but it works well)

I notice you have the 5100s and 886s. How much lift did you get?
I am ordering and Allpro bumper (and when bonus comes m8000 warn winch) and have the 5100s with stock coils but I don't want more than 2" 2.5" of lift?
Wicked truck:thumbup:
^thanks
the bilsteins on the stock setting, with 886 coils, bumper and winch gave me just about 3" of total lift. i do expect the coils to settle though, probably a half inch to a full inch. when that happens, i'll put in some top plate spacers, or change the 5100 setting to .85
i'm really happy with the ride though, rides awesome.

Hey 6...
First off great truck I love the style . You've done a lot of the things that I want to do. Which also means I have a lot of questions for you. But the one that's itching at me is your tail lights, In the begining of your truck thread your rear lights are smoked but near the end they're fresh again. Did you get rolled on?

And I might as well ask another one... When you mounted your fire extinguisher and pole rack did you drill through your shell? Did you use gromits or silicone? How's it holding up if you did?
thank you first off.
yeah, the tail lights, i don't know-i just got kinda sick of them. i got pulled over a few times, no tickets or anything. i just figured that i didn't need an extra excuse to get pulled over... that's all. they looked cool and all but, wasn't worth it for me. i like to be left alone and to be able to just drive without worrying if the cop two cars back is gonna pull me over and give me any shit.
the extinguisher and fishing rod holder are drilled into the top of the canopy with medium sized self tapping screws. they do not go all the way through the shell. the roof of the canopy on the inside has about an inch of thick insulation material that allows you to mount things. they hold very well. i'm sure a lot of canopies have this feature because i know that canopy places sell the rod holders and other things as accessories.

went up and shot some clay pigeons with my dad after work today.
( i shot 59 in a row and 91 out of 100 total if you were wondering ;))
anyway, kind of scenic.

then the sun went down:

so, i aimed the headlights at some targets and we switched it up to pistols for a while:
(yes this is my dad-haha)
