It depends on how healthy is your engine, you can go for the Log manifold, with piggyback ECU bigger injectors, a small intercooler and a small turbo.
just got from my friends garage a work that have been done for my 4afe with EGT
connector.

thanks man i know the bolt on to my current setup would be a T25 turbo and yeah i realized i dont have much intercooler space but are injectors and the other manifold really necessary?

yeah for the the turbo you need more fuel to be inject to the intake, then the piggyback ECU need to be tuned by professional guy, you already have a wastgate on the T25, you need to have a bov, drain line for the turbo, oil catch can, fuel pump (I recommend the Walbro 255), if you have a problem for the intercooler search in the internet a place for custom made, or cut the bumper, Subaru impreza GC8 1995 front bumper will fit with some minor changes.
and dont forget the interior stuff, gauges: EGT, boost, oil pressure(HKS, Greddy, AutoMeter, AEM, Defi, take the leading companies they wont fake you any data), and boost control (same here for the companies), and ofc if you dont have tachometer(original RPM gauge) buy one from the companies that I have mentioned before or take from a AE that already have the tachometer.
it will be an headache without someone with experience ask some people Honda turbo owners where they do the work or how, witch parts and those stuff.
my recommend, in my country we dont have the 4AGZE/4EFTE engines, those engine have turbo/supercharger, if you live in the US go for the swap to the 4AGZE, 4EFTE and modified those engines.
good luck. :)

I wouldn't run 8 lbs ill run 4-5 lbs tops most people don't build the motor properly and just blow it up...but 8lbs is safe I mean you can run OEM 90-95 supra tt injectores those are non obd2 injectors so you may not need a resistor box..you still need a downpipe, small eBay intercooler and A decent bov, then have someone tune it $400-500 depends on your area and what you want the most HP and blow the motor or make a decent daily driver..iveseen people get tunes of horse power but blow the hell out of the motor because they run them too lean and the tuner doesn't know how to get reliability and power..

96 is OBD-II, you can't do much for timing. 6 or 7 PSI is all I'd recommend on stock internals. A rising-rate FPR might be a crude way to tune, but the electronics are NOT Honda-like if you want to do anything inexpensive and lasting.

This is a popular topic for the 6th-generation Celica ST owners who have the same 7AFE. 6gc.net, if it's still around (haven't checked for years) has a lot of good threads about how to do this. The head's narrow valve angle makes it respond actually pretty well to boost. You need the manifold, you need the injectors (stock 7AFE are, what, 145 or so?) you don't need the intercooler unless you're going to run over about 7 PSI.

Speaking of injectors...OBD-I or OBD-2 has nothing to do with resistor boxes, it's all path-to-injector impedance. If the stock ones are high impedance and you put in low-impedance, you'll need a resistor box. If the stock ones are low and you put in high, you've got an interesting problem. If in doubt, use a multimeter or ask the parts counter guy at a dealership.
