Hello,

My wife owns a 2003 Celica GTS with 6 speed manual transmission. It has about 75k mi on it. Recently, the speedometer and odometer quit working.

We replaced the speed sensor, and it did not correct the problem. The technician told me the gear which connects to the speed sensor is stripped. (Driven Gear - Toyota Part #33403-29395)

The tech also suggested we replace the gear which interfaces with the Driven Gear. He called it the "drive" gear. He said it was likely stripped also. But I can not find this part!

Is there anyone who has experience with this repair, or knows what part the technician is talking about? I sure would like to get this fixed without replacing the tranny completely.

Thanks, Michael
