I want to do some lighting inside my trix and is it okay to directly connect 8+ led lights straight from the battery? I'll be putting like maybe 3 switches to control them! Or if you guys have suggestion where to get a 12v connection without connecting them to the battery itself! My matrix is an '06! Thanks! :)

It's easier to just tap into a circuit in the fusebox like the accessory one. The LED's don't draw enough current to really make any difference. Like the others said, add an inline fuse.

If you're doing interior lighting, use the one inside, under the steering wheel. Or just tap into the 12v accessory plug either on the dash or under the console. I did both, centre console for the cupholder LED's, and the dash for the front footwells and over the HVAC LED's.

x4 on using an inline fuse. You don't want an unfused connection directly to the battery - if it shorts out or anything you could be looking at a real risk of fire and/or serious damage to your electrical system.
